The DCMA committee needs you!

We are looking for more volunteers to join the committee to take an active role in promoting childminders and raise funds for more workshops and conferences. If you think that you could help then speak to a committee member for a nomination form or ring the DCMA mobile.

Nomination forms must be with the Chair Vicky Kenny by 5pm on Thursday 1st May 2008.

Monday 17th March was the latest Forum at Early Years. It was well attended with approximately 40 childminders in attendance. Sue Morgan gave a presentation about the Childcare Coupon Scheme. Evaluation forms about the scheme will be posted out soon and it was asked that we fill them in even if we have had no enquiries.

Liz Roe spoke to minders about the Common Assessment Framework and the training we are able to attend on this. There was also an update on the CCF network by Kate Stainthorpe which proved very informative.

Finally Support Childminding Officer Diane Dalton gave up date information from Early Years. On the whole a very informative evening which was well attended.

The next forum is on Monday 23^rd June and there are booking forms in your training manuals, which are in the post.
